Brazil registers over 2 mln biofuel cars in 2007, 85.6 pct of cars sold

January 15, 2008 - Published in Forbes.com RIO DE JANEIRO (Thomson Financial) - Brazil registered 2.0 mln biofuel cars in 2007, representing 85.6 pct of the cars sold on the Brazilian market last year, the Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea) said.
Brazil now has a total of 4.6 mln biofuel cars, which run on either petrol or on ethanol made from sugarcane, Anfavea said.

GM takes stake in small biofuels firm
